Pantone’s 2015 Color of the Year

Color is all around us. The perfect color brings harmony to the world around you. It only makes sense that we try to foresee the colors that will bring us that extra synergistic component in our design work in the future. Luckily we can depend on two organizations that devote themselves to color and its evolution, the Color Marketing Group and Pantone. Pantone has just revealed their Color of the Year for 2015, naming it Marsala. Color Marketing Group works a little further in advance having published their predictions for 2015 at the end of 2013. CMG forecasts a range of colors as opposed to just one.   CMG did predict a very strong red for 2015, naming it Tribal Red. Both color forecasting companies are predicting two similar shades of red to be influential across all areas of design in the coming new year. While we may not see the exact predictions of either of these colors applied in 2015, I believe we will see a surging use of a strong, grounded and unifying red tone in 2015.

So, what does this mean for contract upholstery fabric? Marsala and Tribal Red are both gender-neutral colors making them ideal for applications particularly in corporate and hospitality markets. These colors can also be considered multi-cultural. domain name value checker parental locks google translate In CMG, Tribal Red was forecast for 2015 in the North American Palette, the Latin American Palette and in the Asia Pacific Palette. The multi-cultural dimension of Marsala and Tribal Red suggests that they may transcend trendiness and become a classic.
