ANZEA WARRANTY

ANZEA guarantees that our products will perform in accordance with accepted industry standards when used under normal conditions (i.e. single shift operation), with proper maintenance and for the purpose intended. This applies to all warranties. The warranty time frame begins when the product ships to the manufacturer.

For upholstery products that meet heavy duty requirements as stated by ACT standards, the warranty is for one year from date of purchase.

For products deemed high performance the warranty is for a period of two years from date of purchase. High performance products are those that can withstand bleach cleaning and have listed as approved, the cleaning agent used by the facility, and have a minimum Wyzenbeek rating of 100,000 double rubs. Longer warranties may appear on individual specification sheets.

This warranty does not guarantee suitability for any furniture or method of manufacture. Therefore, this warranty cannot guarantee against puddling, as this may occur under certain conditions such as long expanses of the fabric applied on booth or bench seating, improper railroading the fabric, improper shaping or density of the underlying foam, improper methods of manufacture and inherent characteristics of the selected upholstery product. The warranty does not cover consequential damage, such as the fabric surface cracking which may be caused by puddling.

The warranty does not cover failure from upholstering defects such as inadequate padding between the fabric and the furniture frame, inadequate padding at the corners or edges of the furniture piece, improper sewing techniques and defective or inappropriateness of seating design and manufacture.

The warranty does not cover damage resulting from reverse crocking which is the transfer of color from apparel or other materials. The warranty does not cover ink stains, dye stains, cuts, punctures, burns or any other forms of abuse including those that are unintentional.

The warranty does not cover damage resulting from storage in conditions that are not climate controlled or stored for excessively long periods of time. The warranty does not include damages to the fabric caused in packaging and shipping an upholstered product.

The warranty does not cover damage resulting from lack of cleaning, the misuse of cleaning agents or the use of inappropriate cleaning agents for the product. Lack of rinsing following any cleaning method will negate any warranty.

When deemed necessary, the warranty is limited to replacement of the upholstery product with a mutually agreed upon fabric with the same approximate value.

THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A

PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, ARE EXCLUDED FROM THIS AGREEMENT. The warranty described in this agreement shall be the sole and exclusive remedy for any and all losses or damages resulting from nonconforming goods or from any other cause. ANZEA DISCLAIMS AND SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OF ANY SORT.

In certain applications, the fabric may show premature abnormal wear, even if proper cleaning protocol is used, and the upholstered furniture is in reasonable environmental conditions. In these cases, if abnormal wear occurs, ANZEA may, at its sole discretion, provide for a sliding scale remaining usage value, similar to tire or battery replacement value in an automobile. This will create a depreciation reduction that relates to the value of fabric usage during the warranty period.

A fabric with a five-year warranty period, will have the remaining replacement value based on its original fabric cost.
Usage: Less than 1 year = 100%

1-2 years = 80%
2-3 years = 60%
3-4 years = 40%
4-5 years = 20%
Over 5 years = 0%

A fabric with a three-year warranty period, will have the remaining replacement value based on its original fabric cost.
Usage: Less than 1 year = 100%

1-2 years = 60%
2-3 years = 40%
Over 3 years = 0%

A fabric with a two-year warranty period, will have the remaining replacement value based on its original fabric cost.
Usage: Less than 1 year = 100%

1-2 years = 50%
Over 2 years = 0%

If a fabric clearly failed prematurely during the first year of installation, ANZEA may, at its sole discretion, help participate in associated re-upholstery costs. This policy is strictly on a case-by-case basis relating to all factors that have caused the fabric failure. After a full year of usage from date of purchase, ANZEA will not be liable for any associated re-upholstery costs.
